Important
This guide provides general fitting advice only. Always read your car seat user manual and follow the manufacturer instructions for your specific seat. If you are unsure about installation or fit, contact your retailer or a trained car seat specialist for tailored support.
Newborn Fitting Guide
The Avionaut Pixel Pro is designed to support all sized babies, including premature and low birth weight newborns. Correct use of the inserts and harness is essential for a safe fit.
Start with all newborn inserts in place
For a newborn, the seat should be used with all of the inserts installed, as supplied by the manufacturer. These inserts provide important support for a small baby’s head, body and hips.
Position baby with their bottom at the back of the seat
Baby should be sat on the blocks with their bottom at the back of the seat. Their back should lie flat against the seat before tightening the harness.
Check the shoulder pads
The harness pads should sit on baby’s shoulders and close to the neck.
Tighten the harness correctly
The harness should be snug with no more than a one finger gap between baby’s collarbone and the harness. A gap at the stomach is normal.
Installation Note
The correct handle position depends on how the seat is installed.
Belted installation - handle should be positioned towards baby’s feet
ISOFIX base installation - handle should be upright
Helpful Tips
Lift baby’s chin while tightening the harness
This helps the straps sit correctly on the shoulders rather than sliding down the arms.
Check baby’s posture before tightening
Baby should be sitting upright with their back flat against the seat before the harness is tightened.

FAQ
Why doesn’t the harness move on the Pixel Pro?
The harness height on the Pixel Pro is fixed because the seat relies on the newborn insert system to offer a very tailored fit to position babies correctly as they grow.
Can I remove the inserts if my baby looks squashed?
The inserts should be removed piece by piece as baby grows. There is no “right” order or time as all babies come in different shapes and sizes. Your retailer has been trained by the manufacturer to advise you on when to remove the inserts so always reach out to them for clarification before making any changes you’re unsure about.
